Chile is a very rich country–in nature diversity, culture and history that is. The interesting shape as seen on the left side of the map of South America which runs in a line shaped aptly as a chili pepper. Coincidence? Well there are a number of theories of how it got it’s name, yet none seem to have been confirmed. Deserts, tundra, springs, geysers, salt flats, Andes mountains, beaches–every nature diversity imaginable is in Chile. This can make it a very fulfilling country to visit. The cities are of Spanish colonial influence and there is a sizable Native population in various regions. It seems Chile has something for everyone.
