South America, which is exclusively as a whole continent considered the core of Latin America with the exemption of the smaller northern nations of Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana. Brazil as can tell by looking on the map takes up almost half the continent’s land mass and with the primary language of Portuguese, and the rest of the continent is aptly Spanish speaking; in addition to the native languages and small pockets of regions German speaking, due to a large historical immigration. This continent also boasts the most variations of geological nature possible, plus an infusion of cultures from other continents brought by the people whom migrated here; Asian, European and African. Not forgetting to mention the strong Indigenous culture which is still strong and preserved in South America. Also the southern tip of the continent serves as a gateway for exploring Antarctica.
