Austria is so beautiful with very classy architecture (reflecting it’s history) in the cities and Alpine-style timber-framed houses and farms in the countryside. Only mountains on the western part where Salzburg is and Innsbruck in Tyrol. Vienna is rather flat with maybe some rolling hills here and there. Really it depends what one is into which determines whether Vienna or somewhere in the Alps in the main area to visit as most people who visit are just passing through for a short time in a Europe tour and also visiting neighboring countries. The people are quite friendly and helpful for the most part. There are also people who visit for ‘fringe’ reasons too, either it be to visit Hitler’s hometown or to snap a photo next to the sign of the village F*cking. In addition, just incase one doesn’t know Mozart’s home is located in Salzburg, not Vienna.;)
